My Dad

On January 19th my dad had a seizure. It was really scary, it was his first one in over 7 years. I was in a shower at the time and my sister and mom were downstairs. My brother was getting up from the couch to do his homework and brother, Josh, looked at my dad and my dad was looking at the back door. Josh then asked what he was staring at and my dad fell to the floor and started shaking. I of course didnt know what was going on because I wasnt in the room at the time. But my brother was screaming and yelling and pounding on the bathroom door yelling my moms name. It scared me. Josh thought I was my mom. I thought that maybe my brother got hurt, and my mom who was downstairs thought he was in an argument with my dad but didnt know why he would be screaming or anything. Josh is two years younger then me and saw the whole thing! When my mom came upstairs she saw my dad and called 911. I came running out of the bathroom a few minutes later and could hear sirens coming down the street. My mom was trying to get my dad to wake up.
" Wake up Kenny, you need to wake up." she said.
When i went into the living room my sister and brother were crying and the coffee table was moved by the back door. The EMT guys came inside and was trying to get my dad conscious. Once he did he was trying to fight off the EMT guys still unsure what was going on. My dad wasnt listening so they had to put him on a stretcher. Once again my dad was being stubburn still unsure what was going on and wouldnt lay flat he kept going on his side.
This whole thing was really scary for me because me and my dad had a fight before it happen and I felt like it was my fault.
We visited him later at the hospital and around 11 we left. My grandparents stayed with them till 2 AM and surprisingly he was allowed to come home. My grandparents told us that when they were taking him home my dad yelled at them and told them to go a different way and he told them to go alll the way back to our old house. & my grandma asked what his address was and my dad replied saying which one?
He still can't remember the whole night and he didnt have a great memory afterwards either. The whole experience was really scary especially my brother who witnessed the whole thing.
